The Golf- und Landclub Bayerwald is located six kilometres from the Camping Resort Bayerwald. 

Embedded in the beautiful, unspoilt natural landscape of the Lower Bavarian Forest, an unforgettable golfing experience awaits you on the wonderfully designed 18-hole championship course in Poppenreut.  

The course is nestled in an expansive depression and offers breathtaking views of the Haidel massif and the Dreisessel group in the distance. The 18-hole ensemble presents itself with manicured, lush fairways and impressively flawless greens as a varied course with hidden challenges for both experienced players and leisure golfers. 

Poppenreut also offers generously designed practice and training facilities, such as the driving range, with partly covered teeing grounds, a chipping area and the putting green. Golf beginners can gain their first golfing experience on the specially designed 3-hole practice course. 

As a co-operation partner of the Camping Resort Bayerwald, we offer special rates for you. 

What you should know in advance about playing golf on the course: 
The following requirements apply in order to play a good and, above all, safe round of golf on the course: You have the course licence: The course licence is the first step from being a prospective player to becoming a generally recognised golfer. It guarantees that players can move around the course safely and at an appropriate pace without putting other golfers in danger. 

Do you need the right equipment? 
We provide sets of clubs and golf balls for you to hire. Rental club set: 20,00 €  

Our offers exclusively for guests of the Camping Resort Bayerwald 

For golfers with course licence and beyond: 
Fancy a round of golf in a fantastic setting? Then book a green fee for 18 or 9 holes, regardless of our office hours, via the Camping Resort Bayerwald website and simply drop by. We refrain from allocating starting times, giving our guests and club members much more flexibility. You are welcome to store your rackets on site if you wish. 

Greenfee 18 hole: 35,00 € 
Greenfee 9 hole: 20,00 € 
Storage of rackets, etc.: € 2.00 per day 

Driving range + practice area 
Would you simply like to understand what makes the game on the green so fascinating, but don't have time for lessons? Then you have the opportunity to use our 3-hole practice course. You can hire clubs on site at the golf course. However, we recommend you take the beginners' course first, for quick success and moments of happiness. Do you believe that hitting little white balls into the sky can be full of satisfaction? We do too! That's why we offer anyone interested the chance to use our driving range for this very purpose, whether you're a complete beginner or a pro. Have fun! 

Free use of driving range incl. 3-hole short course

Taster course for children, teenagers or adults 
The moment of happiness when the club touches the ball, the brief satisfying sound and the satisfaction of a perfect trajectory. If this is your goal, we offer a 4-hour taster course. You will receive a comprehensive introduction on the driving range with tips and corrections. Afterwards, you can put your knowledge to the test on our 3-hole practice course. The minimum group size is 5 people.  

The course does not include a handicap test. 
Beginners' course (4 hours): Costs on request at the office 

Course licence 
Are you finally taking time out of your holiday to get your golf licence? Then this course in accordance with the guidelines of the German Golf Association (DGV) is just right for you. The course consists of 3 x 2 hours and teaches you everything you need to have fun and enjoy this wonderful sport on the courses of this world.

Individual lessons from €35  

Remote membership of the Bayerwald Golf and Country Club 
If you live more than 100 kilometres as the crow flies from the headquarters of Golf- und Landclub Bayerwald e.V., you have the option of taking out a long-distance membership.  

Your benefits: You are a full member with the reference ‘Remote membership’ on your DGV card, receive a 50% green fee discount and free green fees during the open golf week in August (with the Assumption holiday). Remote membership: € 400 p.a.
