On Tuesday, 30 April, our campsite was transformed into a magical place for Walpurgis Night. The devils and witches of the ‘Tiafabegga Feiadeifen’ provided an unforgettable experience that cast a spell over the visitors, who were captivated by ancient traditions. Numerous guests gathered to experience the mystical atmosphere of this special night and soak up the unique atmosphere.

On Wednesday 1 May, the May Festival continued the celebrations. The traditional raising of the maypole and the spring market with a variety of homemade delicacies created a cheerful and inviting atmosphere.

Another highlight was the RENT AND TRAVEL roadshow, where the experts from Knaus Tabbert AG explained everything about motorhome and caravan hire to interested guests. Visitors were able to find out about the advantages of camping and take part in an exciting competition where they could try their luck and win great prizes. Musical performances by the Freyunger Danzlmusi and the Waidlerische Wirtshausmusi with the S.M.S. trio and performances by the Waldlerbuam traditional costume club invited guests to dance. In the afternoon, ‘Magic Josef’ delighted the children with his magic show, while a bouncy castle and pony rides made for smiling faces. Golfers from GC Bayerwald also invited children and adults to try out their skills. The ‘Little Witch Show’ was the grand finale of the May Festival. Culinary delicacies in the Restaurant zum Sepp, in particular the delicious grilled chicken and knuckle of pork, rounded off the festival and invited guests to linger.

Overall, the May Festival was a complete success and a wonderful opportunity to celebrate traditions and strengthen the community. We are already looking forward to next year!
